How can I start my career in the spatial sciences?
- Via a traineeship or an apprenticeship at TAFE
- Via a three or four year degree course in the spatial sciences at university
- Via a two year Associate Degree course
- By adding spatial science subjects to your chosen university course or post-graduate studies
What are the prerequisites for entrance to university spatial sciences courses?
You should have an interest in mathematics and English. Geography would be a help, but is not essential. Computing is a large component of any spatial science occupation. It’s also a help to enjoy problem solving!
