Types of Cadets at TMR:
Design CadetsIfyou choose to become a design cadet you will be required to study at USQ for anAssociate Degree in Engineering (Civil) which you are expected to completeduring the two years you are at the RDTC. Once you leave the RDTC you will havethe opportunity to undertake further study to complete a Bachelor ofEngineering Technology (Civil). This study normally takes an additional twoyears of part time study which you can undertake as an external student whileworking full time for TMR as a civil designer.
Survey Cadets
Asa survey cadet you will be required to study at USQ for a Bachelor of SpatialScience Technology. You will normally complete 2/3rds of the course (16 units)over the two years while you are at the RDTC. You will complete the remaining 8units over the following two years part time as an external student whileworking full time for TMR as a cadet surveyor.
